Verisign Raising .COM / .NET Prices AgainVerisign, the registry operator for .com and .net domain names, recently announced that beginning on October 1, 2008, the registry fee for .com and .net domain names will increase by the maximum amount allowed under their contract with ICANN -- and by all accounts, you can expect the same every year through 2012. To avoid the October price increase (and the annual increases to follow), consider renewing your domain names to lock in the current price for as long as possible. A domain can by "paid up" for ten years, meaning you can add nine years to a domain that has not yet expired. That's what we're doing, and we encourage you to do the same! |
